Failed Media Prediction: Concentration Camps for Political Opponents

Author: Notfox

Update: These actually surfaced several times between July and November, including as recently as a couple days ago. I don't know what the appeal is, but these are incredibly boring at this point.

This shows up in the backroom news feed ever six months to a year. The claim is that FEMA or the government in general is building prisons or concentration camps for political opponents across the country. This iteration pretends that the government is so concerned about whether or not people will appreciate the election theater, that they're willing to construct enough prisons to hold those who aren't in favor of the status quo. As if they could build enough camps to contain 47% of the population, regardless of who wins.

I was considering ignoring this nonsense this time around, but it's pervasive enough that it warrants a phlog post. I expect they'll give up talking about it in a bit, as they do with all of these fear-mongering predictions, and move on to something else.
